Tank Silo Dry; HIP 28869 Hungry

The central Environmental Offices (CEO) of Benambo Patron’s Principles upgraded the previous water-saving advisory to a drought warning last night, despite intervention from the Benambo Boys in the form of 12,000 tons of water delivered to Xin Orbital. This warning is in effect for all stations and settlements, despite localization to Tank Silo.

The overseer of Tank Silo released a statement regarding the worsening drought conditions:

We’ve got piles and piles of requests for more planetary defensive systems after increased tensions in HIP 28452, what with all the pirates. Add to that all the increased water usage from the botanical installations recently and it’s hard to keep up. We don’t expect it to last much longer with some of the recent aid work, but please! Don’t take long showers, turn the faucet off when you brush, and reconsider watering your station turf.

The CEO has not published predictions on the length of the drought warning or statistcs on either water demand or existing water reserve levels. When contacted for additional information, an officer of the CEO declined to elaborated and instead asked citizens of Benambo to be patient and judicious with their water usage.

Alden Terminal, Alexander Hub, Rechtin City, and Xin Orbital are under strict water conversation - expect limited shower access and reduced bar menus.

Meanwhile, HIP 28869 Citizens of Tradition continue to experience deepening famine following harsh crop blight. Aid distribution centers have been deployed by internal system security and relief workers in HIP 28869 to distribute emergency food cartridges. Despite worsening conditions for constituents, Governor Reya Ware of the Citizens of Tradition remains confident that system recovery is around the corner.
